The IXS token is an ERC-20 token, which means it works on the Ethereum network. To provide a more cost-effective alternative when conducting transactions using IXS, our users can now bridge IXS to the Polygon network.

Once done, you will get the corresponding wrapped token WIXS in exchange for your IXS (1 IXS = 1 WIXS). This is especially relevant as some of IXS’s staking programs require WIXS tokens to participate.

To bridge IXS tokens between Ethereum and Polygon, follow the steps for your preferred method

Method #1 - Bridging via Nexera Bridge (Fee: Gas Fees)

Step-by-step guide:

• Connect your wallet to Nexera Bridge: https://bridge.nexera.network/

• In the network selection box at the top, set the network to the blockchain you are bridging from.

• In the transfer details, select the network you are bridging to.

• If bridging Ethereum → Polygon, select IXS from the token list.

• If bridging Polygon → Ethereum, enter the IXS token contract address on Polygon: 0x1BA17C639BdaeCd8DC4AAc37df062d17ee43a1b8

• Enter the amount of IXS to bridge.

• Click "Next" and review the transfer details.

• Click "Approve", enter the amount, and confirm in your wallet.

• Click "Transfer", then sign the transaction in your wallet.

• Once completed, switch your wallet network to the destination network.

Method #2 -Bridging via BitMart (Fee: 3-6 IXS)

Step 1: Sign up & complete KYC: https://www.bitmart.com/

Step 2: Deposit IXS to BitMart

• Navigate to Assets Overview and select Deposit.

• In the Select Crypto dropdown, search for IXS.

• Select the Blockchain you are sending tokens from.

• Send IXS tokens from your Web3 wallet to your BitMart deposit address.

Step 3: Withdraw IXS to Polygon

• Go to Assets Overview and select Withdraw.

• In the Select Crypto dropdown, search for IXS.

• Copy your MetaMask wallet address and paste it into the Address Box.

• Select Polygon as the receiving blockchain.

• Enter the amount to withdraw and confirm. Note: Withdrawals may take time to reflect.

Method #3 -Bridging via BTSE Exchange (Fee: 1-10 IXS)

Step 1: Sign up & complete KYC: https://www.btse.com/

Step 2: Deposit IXS to BTSE

• Navigate to Wallet Overview and select Deposit.

• Click on Crypto, then search for IXS.

• Select the Blockchain you are transferring from.

• Find the deposit address or connect your wallet for an easier transfer. Note: Deposits may take time to appear in your balance.

Step 3: Withdraw IXS to Polygon

• Navigate to Wallet Overview and select Withdraw.

• Click on Crypto, then search for IXS.

• Select Polygon as the destination blockchain.

• Enter your wallet address or connect your wallet for direct withdrawal. Note: Withdrawals may take time to reflect.

And that’s it! You’ve now successfully bridged IXS to Polygon.
